GYROTONIC® Applications for Osteoporosis

In this three-day update course, GYROTONIC® teachers learn the definition, incidence, and physiology of bone loss and how to help clients prevent osteoporosis fractures and falls using the Gyrotonic method. Trainers will learn how to understand a bone density scan, how to recognize a client who may be at risk of developing osteoporosis, and some basic information about nutrition and medications. The course will also cover modifications of Gyrotonic Level I exercises for clients with Osteoporosis as well as new exercises specifically for bone reformation and prevention of osteoporotic fractures. 

On the last day of the course, you will experience 3 classes of the material covered: one for a client with severe osteoporosis, one for a client with osteoporosis, and one for a client with osteopenia. The material is excellent for any therapeutic population including someone with a neurologic condition, poor balance, poor posture, or difficulty walking.

Course Hours: Friday & Saturday 11am - 6 pm (1 hr break), Sunday 10 am -2 pm (no break)

Course Fee: $350 tuition + $150 Non-refundable Deposit/Studio Fee

In accordance with San Francisco Indoor Vaccine Mandate, all course participants must provide proof of vaccination to enter the studio.
